Evaluating the Psychometric Properties of Persian Version of the Pain Resilience Scale in Cancer Patients

Background: Pain resilience can protect cancer patients from emotional turmoil as a protective factor in adapting to chronic pain. Objectives: This study aimed evaluate patients’ psychometric properties the Persian version of Resilience Scale. Methods: methodological was conducted on 200 with cancer, who referred chemotherapy section Imam Reza Hospital Kermanshah, Iran 2021 examine Ankawi The subjects were selected through purposive sampling method based inclusion criteria. Results: results indicated that Cronbach’s alpha coefficient obtained under Behavioral Perseverance Scale (α = 0.86), Emotional/Cognitive Positive Thinking 0.93), and whole 0.94). According exploratory analysis, this scale explained 65% variance pain variable. confirmatory analysis confirmed two-factor model is good fit for data. Conclusion: results, had an acceptable validity people cancer.
